PANAMANIAN PASSPORT RENEWAL

General information for Panama passport
  • The passport renewal process can take approximately from 20 days to one month.
  • Interested persons must present themselves in person at the General Consulate of Panama in Marseille

 

What documents I have to submit?
  • The current Panamanian Identity Card: copy of signed card (children over 13 years). If you do not have a ID, you must present a card or identification that contains a photo and signature. The signature must be equal to the card you present..
  • Present passport expired or to be expired
  • Three (3) photos (see recommendations bellow)
  • The Passport Application (all required fields must be completed)
  • The fingerprint and signature forms are filled out at the Consulate

 

Payment

The payment must be made through a “Cheque de Gerencia “of the American Bank (Money Order in Western Union) in favor of the “FONDO ESPECIAL DE PASAPORTES” or through a relative in Panama in the Direction of Passports.

No checks with date, older than three months, are accepted.

Price: 100$
Price for older than 55 years: 50 $

 

Supplementary Information

If your passport is still valid but you want to renew it, you must also present the following documents:

  • Explanatory letter why you want a new passport
  • The document "Cancellation of passport" filled at the Consulate

If your passport is lost or stolen, you must also present the following documents:

  • Copy of police report, including your passport number.
  • The document "Cancellation of passport" filled at at the Consulate

Children over 13 years of age must also present the following documents:

  • Authorization signed by parents to issue new passport

Children under the age of 13, present only the following documents:

  • Passport application
  • Passport expired or expired
  • Three (3) photos (see recommendations bellow)
  • Authorization signed by parents to issue new passport
Requirements for emission of safe-conduct

Applicant must submit an application in person at the General Consulate of Panama in Marseille explaining the reasons why he wants to request the Safe-conduct. The following documents must be submitted:

  • Personal identity card or copy of your birth certificate
  • Complaint presented to the Local Authority for the loss of the Passport
  • Pay the sum of $68.00 dollars for the expenses for the issuance of the document
